On Thursday, it's time again for a meeting regarding the construction of Norrgårdsladan - at 6 pm at Lurkan. This week the resident islanders turn 6 years old - CONGRATULATIONS to you ♥ (4-92) then I found out in the intervening days that a dear friend and neighbor has fallen asleep - we feel with the relatives.. hope you had a visit from the star boys Friday night - how much which was collected for the children's cancer fund, I will return with next week. Have to let you know that the water test shit..

Company on Ingmarsö

Ingmarsö Byalag is a non-profit association that works for the good of the island and takes on issues that are not dealt with by other associations. The village team was also formed to increase collaboration between the island's associations.

You are a member of the village association if you own property on the island or are of legal age and registered on the island.
The village team does not charge a membership fee. Instead, the work requires voluntary contributions from the members. The village team's board works without financial remuneration.

The board appreciates your views. Feel free to contact one of its members and come to the annual general meeting, which is normally held on the last Saturday in May at Lurkan.

The village association's board takes care of the members' interests vis-à-vis the municipality and region with the goal that community services on the island should be equivalent to those on the mainland. The board mainly works with school and childcare, traffic issues and working life and environmental issues.

Heavy transport

Always contact the Road Association before heavy transport. Heavy transport should generally be avoided when the road is wet. Recommended axle pressure is a maximum of 5 tons.History

A first embryo for a road association on Ingmarsö was in 1958 when a grant was negotiated to keep the roads so ice and snow free that you could drive a horse and cart without problems.

On August 25, 1966, an application was sent to form a road association on Ingmarsö, signed by the road board for "Ingmarsö väghållningsskyldige" Oskar Eriksson, Lennart Malmgren, Lars Ljungberg, Kjell Andersson and Voldemar Zeisig. It was not until January 1, 1977 that the Ingmarsö road association could start. Then Per-Oskar Eriksson was elected chairman.

The premises are used for various activities for all members. Here you can play billiards and table tennis or do yoga. We also have exhibitions, themed days and cinema screenings (we are part of Swedish Film).

What does Lurkan mean?
The Ingmarsö people are also called the Ingmarsö people. Seed or seedfish are collected as

The Lurk is where all the spawning fish simply congregate!

Rescue guard

Ingmarsö has a well-functioning rescue team with 9 volunteer "firemen". You have continuous exercises and from time to time you have to move out to put out ground fires etc. All members are trained in CPR and have taken a course for the island's defibrillator, which is installed at the store.

In an emergency call 112

Preschool/school

The school is in a "moth bag" due to the low number of children, but they have promised to open up if there are students who want to go to school. Regarding preschool, see Current info!

This is how Ingmarsö's school was described when it was in operation:

At Ingmarsö school, the children go from pre-school to year 5.

We have a close collaboration between preschool, school and leisure center.
It is a small and safe activity where the children can develop at their own pace. The business is conducted in an old and fine building with access to a classroom and library. The proximity to nature is an important part of the business and a large part of the teaching takes place outdoors.
In teaching, computers, Ipads and Smartboards are used, among other things. Crafts, music and sports lessons are conducted at Ljusterö school one day a week.
